There are many opportunities to connect to our community of faith here at Mosaic. In Romans chapter 12, the Apostle Paul describes the church as being like the body of Christ. Each member of the body has an important role to play in the mission God has called us to. Here are some of the ways you can begin to find your place here at Mosaic:

What Is Mosaic Luncheon
Every few months Mosaic hosts a guest luncheon. This lunch is for people new to Mosaic and wanting to learn a little more about us. At the lunch you'll meet some of our leadership team, other staff, and learn more about our history, what we believe and our core values. This is a great way to find out more about Mosaic, and enjoy lunch with new friends! Fill out our contact form to sign up for the next luncheon.

Join The Staff
We don't have members here at Mosaic, we invite you to join the staff. Twice a year Mosaic conducts a "Join the Staff" workshop. At the workshop you'll hear from our leadership team as we explore the mission and core values of Mosaic, expectations of staff and leadership, and what that means for you. Joining the staff is a way for you to demonstrate your commitment to the community and mission of Mosaic Seattle. Fill out our contact form for more information or to sign up for the next workshop.

Community Groups
Here at Mosaic we like to say that "what we do, we do together." We believe God designed us to be in community with other people. We define community as a place where you know and are known, where you serve and are served, where you love and are loved, and where you celebrate together. One of the best places to experience community is with a small group of people. We have a number of community groups that meet at various locations throughout the week. We'd like to help you find a community group that fits you. Fill out our contact form for more information on community groups or for help finding a group, or pick up the latest community groups brochure at the connections table. And, if the right group doesn't exist, we'd love to help you start a group of your own.

Serving Opportunities
Serving others is one of the best ways God molds and shapes our character. Jesus said in Matthew that "I came to serve, not to be served." There are many opportunities to serve others at Mosaic. God has given each person a unique set of strengths, gifts, talents, time, and treasure; how do you use what you've been given? There are a number of opportunities that exist on Sunday mornings to begin serving, like teaching and mentoring children, preparing refreshments, set up logistics, technology, etc. If you're not sure where to start, just start somewhere. Check out the "mission critical roles" card at the connections table for a complete listing of existing roles. Try something for a few weeks. If it's not you, try something else. The important thing is that we move beyond ourselves, and move toward others. What's really exciting is to dream about the roles that don't even exist yet, and that will be created out of the passion and vision that you bring to the mosaic. Fill out our contact form to talk to someone about existing needs within Mosaic and the community.

Servant Leader Development
Every few months everyone who serves or would like to serve at Mosaic gathers together for a time of fellowship, encouragement, strengthening, and equipping. It's a great time for sharing and catching up with others who are serving in different areas at different times. If you've been waiting to serve somewhere or just waiting for an opportunity to get to know others at Mosaic, the next Servant Leader Development will be a great place for you to begin. Stay tuned for our next Servant Leader Development.

The Connections Project
Mosaic occasionally hosts an all day workshop focusing on helping you discover the unique strengths and gifts that lie within all of us. Many people never take the time to fully understand and appreciate their uniqueness. We tend to move through life working on our weaknesses, and never feeling free to fully embrace the person God designed us to be. We use some of the best assessment tools available, along with teaching, group discussion, and individual exercises to make this a very impactful day. The learnings and applications will touch every aspect of your life. Fill out our contact form for more details on the Connections Project and for the next workshop date.
